About Me

My name is Monica Tatar, owner and photographer at Tatar Patch Photography. I am a wife and mother of four amazing children {Savannah, Brooklyn, Phoenix, and Paxton}. I am a hardcore DisNerd and self proclaimed theme park junkie. My drink of choice is peppermint mocha iced coffee, and most of the time I'll have some form of caffeine in hand. I've lived in Lakeland, Florida my entire life and absolutely love my city.

While I've always loved photography, I had zero intention of ever owning a photography business. After kiddo number three, I struggled to find a reasonably priced photographer where I could get regularly updated photos of my children. As a result, I broke out the "fancy camera" and went from there. In 2014 I was approached by a friend that asked if I would take photos of her children- she absolutely LOVED them! And the truth was, I LOVED doing them for her! From that point on, it became a rollercoaster ride- and now, nine years later {yes, NINE} I keep my calendar full! I absolutely love what I do. It's not just a job for me. I fully invest in my clients and my work, and I LOVE watching families grow over the years. I hope to have the honor of working with you in the future as well!
